The loudspeakers at Busch Stadium blared “Hells Bells” as Cardinals closer Ryan Helsley entered with one out in the eighth inning and the home team holding a 2-0 lead. By the time the logic-defying ninth inning had ended, the only tune that came to mind was the Benny Hill theme.
